Perforated metal, also known as perforated sheet or perforated panel, is a sheet metal that has been stamped or punched to create a patterned holes, slots, or decorative shapes. Perforated metal sheets can be made from different materials such as aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel, galvanized steel, brass and more. Perforated metal sheets or perforated panels are lightweight, aesthetically appealing and have great strength, thus they are generally used for cladding purposes and industrial applications. Perforated panels or perforated sheets are versatile, offers good ventilation and have high strength-to-weight ratio which is widely used in filtration applications.

Applications

Uses of perforated metal sheet include columns cladding of building, facades, decorative roof panel, architectural, automotive, construction, chemical and energy, food processing, fencing screens and mesh covers.

Grades

One of the common grades of perforated aluminium panel or aluminium perforated sheet is AA1100. Grade AA1100 perforated aluminium panels are lightweight and corrosion resistant, thus are suitable for use in a range of applications such as architectural cladding, facades, roofs, signage and sun shade. Grade AA1100 perforated aluminium panels have high formability and machinability, which can be made into various architectural designs. Grade AA1100 perforated aluminium panels are also durable and long-lasting, ideal for outdoor structures that are able to withstand harsh elements.
