Grades

One of the common bright mild steel grades used for bright steel round bars is AISI 1020. AISI 1020, which is equivalent to JIS S20C, is a low carbon steel with good machinability and weldability. It is widely used in manufacturing and construction where moderate strength and good formability are required. AISI 1020 has excellent machinability, making it suitable for a variety of machining processes such as turning, milling, drilling, and tapping. AISI 1020 is suitable for making precision components that benefit from a smooth surface finish and tight dimensional tolerances.
